CAPRI “MAMA KILLER NIGHT” (10KR01) – OUT NOW!

We are back with a super strong single by Capri from Argentina, ‘Mamma Killer Night’. Capri has been released on many well regarded labels such as International Dj Gigolo Records (Germany), Mogul Electro (USA), Thob Records (USA), Low Spirit (Germany), Sonic 360 (UK), Pacha Records (Ibiza, Spain) and Subterfuge (Spain). This single is taken from his debut album of the same name and demonstrates his skill at blending funk and electro. He is an artist to watch out for! Here the track is given fresh lease of life by 2 outstanding artists.

On remix duties we have 2 outstanding representations from Plastique De Reve and Foremost Poets.Plastique De Reve delivers a tight, deep, dark and intoxious mix which builds in intensity until it explodes.Plastique De Reve hails from Switzerland, lives in Berlin and has been released on Turbo, Gigolos, Kitty Yo, WMF and more. He blends electro techno with acid house, disco and breakdance with an individual flair and great production techniques. He manages to create a peak time party sound that rocks the dancefloor whilst also being psychedelic. The mix he has delivered is a killer! Check it out!

Last but not least are 2 mixes from Foremost Poets brining a funky US flavour to proceedings. Foremost Poets is none other than Johnny Dangerous of Philadelphia. He came to fame in 1990 with his hit single ‘Reasons To Be Dismal’. He went onto remix a whole host of famous artists (Grace Jones, Redman, Govna, Craig Mack, SWV, Total, Missy Elliot, Common, Erikah Badu) and was one of the pioneers of the early New York hard funk Tribal Sound. This sound was a blend of disco/funk and house but toughened up into something a bit harder and direct. Funky but edgy he has an interesting take on this track and the contemporary electro/techno scene. Here he puts down 2 great mixes that will be sure to please.
